The STN has learned that Georgia Tech has offered their basketball head coaching position to Dayton's Brian Gregory. The same source that provided us with the information regarding Bruce Pearl being fired three days before it became public and also regarding Anthony Grant talking to the parties of Georgia Tech and Tennessee; Coach Anthony Grant talked to Georgia Tech to help land an offer to his alma mater's head coach, Brian Gregory. Also, The STN has learned that Grant has provided leverage to help land an offer to his former assistant coach (current VCU head coach); Shaka Smart. Do to respect of Smart's and VCU's current NCAA run, Tennessee will not formerly offer the head coaching basketball position until VCU is officially eliminated and/or wins the NCAA tournament.
