Breaking News: Major Shake-ups in College Football Begin

The STN has just learned that a home-and-home football series between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets has been postponed. At this time, there is not any make-up dates (years) being talked about between the two schools. We have learned that Alabama and Georgia Tech will still play during these two seasons (2013 and 2014) as conference opponents (if the Big Ten expands and Georgia Tech is high on Mike Slive's list to join the SEC), due to super-conference discussions. Air Force head coach, Troy Calhoun, came on the Network this week giving us his knowledge of the Mountain West and other conferences stand pertaining to the Big Ten's super-conference discussions. "In the next 90 days we will see the landscape of college football change." Southern Cal's coach, Lane Kiffin, will be on The Sports Times Network next week to discuss the Pac-10's involvement regarding the super-conference talks. Below is the Sports Times Network interview with Mike Slive, the SEC commissioner, at the 2009 SEC Media Days. Slive tells Nick Taylor how the SEC made it to the top of college football and he will not allow another conference to surpass the SEC:
